It is American Craft Beer Week! Yep, craft beer is important enough that it gets an entire week, not just a day.

So to celebrate American Craft Beer Week, I found a great list of breweries for a do-it-yourself Southern Minnesota brewery tour. Check it out!

Start off in Rochester at Kinney Creek Brewery! They were the first brewery in Rochester after Prohibition. How cool!

Next on the list, Mankato Brewery. Check out local artists on Tuesday's!

Then head over to New Ulm to try out August Schell Brewery, a well-known brewing company that started way back in 1860 and the second-oldest family-owned brewery in America!

Brau Brothers Brewing Company in Marshall is so unique and next on the list! The taproom holds an old-fashioned fire truck that was reoutfitted to hold multiple taps.

And last, but not least, on the list: Bank Brewing Company in Hendricks! They are only open on Fridays and Saturdays but when they are open you can enjoy a delicious beer and some corn hole or giant Jenga in the beer garden.

My personal favorite brewery is Bald Man Brewing in Eagan, MN! They have live music some nights, a food truck is parked outside and they have some amazing beers! My favorite on the menu right now is Dark Side of the Moon, a dark, smooth beer served on Nitro. So if you're in the Southern Twin Cities area, check them out!
