Have you noticed the leaves starting to turn in our area? Fall is on the way (it already feels like it with the weather we've been having), and it's time to make the most of it since it's one of our shorter seasons in Minnesota.
I'm talking about getting out on a hike and soaking in all of the fall colors and the crisp fall air.
Yes, we have lots of parks and trail options on the Land of 10,000 Lakes, but I wanted to build a list more specific than just hiking spots in general. So I created this list of beautiful places to hike in the fall with waterfalls.

One of my favorite things about being outdoors is when I can enjoy the water somehow. That could mean being on a boat in the water, swimming when it's warm enough, or just being near water. It's just very relaxing.

When Will Fall Colors Peak in Minnesota?
Obviously, fall colors will peak at different times throughout the state.
In northern Minnesota, the DNR's map predicts that colors will peak at the beginning of October, central Minnesota will see peak fall colors around mid-October, and southern Minnesota will see peak fall colors around late mid-October and into the end of October.
