How You Can Fly Unlimited for One Price from MSP this Fall and Winter
Traveling is really expensive. My husband and I are working on planning a trip for our 5-year anniversary so we're experiencing it firsthand. But there's an airline at Minnesota's MSP that's offering an unlimited flight pass for the fall and winter!
Yep, unlimited. You can fly as many times as you want in a certain time frame with this pass.
This insane pass is available through Frontier Airlines. It's $299 per person to fly domestically or internationally between September 2nd, 2023 and February 29th, 2024. As many times as you'd like.
But obviously, there's a catch.
The Catch
If you're someone who loves to travel and you don't really care where you go with this pass, then this is perfect. If you want a meticulously planned out vacation, this probably isn't for you.
With this pass, you can seriously fly anywhere Frontier flies to. But! If you're booking a domestic flight you can only do that one day in advance. For international flights, you can only book 10 days in advance. So this means you really can't book a hotel until the day before because you don't know if the flight will fill up or not.
The next thing is that you'll be charged $0.01 to book each flight. Ok, that's fine. But also "taxes, fees, and charges apply at the time of booking." Those taxes and fees can be in the hundreds.
Also, your kids aren't allowed to buy one of these, you have to be 18 or older. Also, there are quite a few blackout dates where you can't use your unlimited pass. For example, January 1st is one of them, which makes sense.
In the End...
So in the end, is this a good deal? Yes, for sure! Because if you're wanting to travel in the fall and winter a decent amount and you don't have your heart set on a destination, this is a really good deal. The taxes and fees will be hundreds of dollars still but you'd be saving hundreds of dollars by not paying the original flight cost.
Will I be doing it? I'm tempted, of course, but I'm not so sure.
