A lot of Minnesotans that will be dressing up for Halloween are getting their inspiration from the Netflix show 'Stranger Things' or perhaps just feeling nostalgic. "1980s" themed costumes are predicted to be the most popular this year in our state according to Google trends. Fortnite costumes are  #1 in Iowa while "Ninja" is the top choice in Wisconsin.

Whether you're dressing up as Madonna or Molly Ringwald, you'll want to layer up because it's going to be a chilly night for trick-or-treaters. High temps today will be in the 30s and by 7:00 PM, prime time for candy collectors, the temps will fall into the 20s.

Several haunted attractions in our area will be open tonight and many will remain open through the weekend. Check our 2019 Southeast Minnesota Halloween Guide for info on terrifying haunted houses, kid-friendly corn mazes, and pumpkin parties in our area.
