Looks Like Rochester’s Halloween Could Be a Bit Sloppy

I waited until nearly the last minute, but finally stocked up on Halloween candy. And after going back and forth on costume ideas for the last couple of weeks, my kids have finally settled on what they’ll be dressing up as.

Halloween is on Friday, and my kids are excited to trick-or-treat, but bad weather can kill the vibes. No kid wants to wear a big winter coat under their costume, and no parent wants to spend the night walking around in miserable conditions.

Old Farmer’s Almanac Predicted Snow for Minnesota This Halloween

A couple of weeks ago, the Old Farmer’s Almanac released its 60-day prediction. Its forecast for October 28–31 called for a mix of sunshine followed by rain and snow, with chilly temperatures.

I didn’t like that, so I checked other sources and didn’t see any mention of snow at the time.

Remember, this prediction was released a couple of weeks ago. Halloween is tomorrow, and now everyone has a better idea of what to expect.

The Old Farmer’s Almanac claims to have an 80% accuracy rate. Did they nail their Halloween prediction? I checked multiple sites at 5:30 a.m. to see what the experts were calling for.

Halloween Forecast for Rochester, Minnesota

The latest information suggests that Halloween day may be a little gross, and Halloween night is expected to be chilly.

The Weather Channel says we could see rain showers and/or wet snow. AccuWeather is just calling for showers. And, our friends over at KTTC aren’t mentioning snow, but do call for “spotty showers” and cooler temps.
