Looking for something fun and meaningful you can do while you're stuck at home? If you can sew, I have just the thing for you! Lutheran Social Services of Minnesota is looking for people to sew protective masks to safeguard all the staff and volunteers. LSS is the largest non-profit in the state with programs serving residents in all 87 Minnesota counties. They employ over 2,300 people and are supported by 10,000 volunteers.

In services where our physical presence is required, health and safety are top priorities. Sewing masks is a critically-important way that people can make a big impact in our community right now to help keep people safe. We encourage Minnesotans to invite their friends, family members, neighbors and church groups who sew to join us in our efforts. - Julie Wright, director of Church Partnerships and Volunteer Services.

You can mail your masks to the headquarters, or there is a drop-off location is available from 3-5 p.m. on Wednesdays at 1610 14th St NW Suite 300 in Rochester. Click here for more information.
