How Your Spa Trip Can Benefit a Rochester High School
I've been wanting to try this place out - Rochester's first and only Himalayan Salt Cave, Salty! If you've been wanting to as well, great news, now you can for only $20. And better yet, a portion will benefit a Rochester high school.
Salty is sponsoring the John Marshall girls hockey team with a special fundraiser. On Tuesday, July 31st from 9 am - 7 pm, you can head to Salty in Sola Salons Crossroads for a 20-minute Halotherapy treatment, also known as dry salt therapy, for $20 per person. Each purchase benefits the Rockets - 20% will be donated to the team. Grab your ladies and head to the spa. Up to 4 people can fit in a room.
What is Halotherapy? According to Salty's Facebook page, "it is the inhalation of kinetically activated pure dry salt particles. The micro particles travel deep into the respiratory system and absorb excess moisture, remove allergens, toxins and foreign substances break up stagnated mucus, restore the function of cilia and widen the airways."
"It has many health benefits, including, but not limited to, improving respiratory health, improving skin conditions, improving sleep, calming and relaxing the body and mind, therefore improving mental health. It also has a great impact for athletes - improving performance through endurance and stamina!"
