Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The man who served as the getaway driver in a Rochester shooting will spend a month in jail.

A criminal complaint filed in Olmsted County Court against 22-year-old Ethan Raymond Callier of Rochester accused him of driving three people to the Ashland Apartments in northwest Rochester, where one of his passengers got out of the vehicle and allegedly exchanged gunfire with another man in the parking lot on May 19, 2023. The court document says Callier and another man, 25-year-old Michael King Jr. of St. Paul, were taken into custody after they drove away from the crime scene and were later stopped by Rochester police.

King and a resident of the apartment complex, 29-year-old Joshua Adams, were both charged with second-degree assault, while King was also charged with drive-by shooting. According to the criminal complaint against them, witnesses to the incident differed on who fired first, but it states that Adams admitted firing his gun once, and King stated that he fired as many as a dozen shots before getting back inside Callier's vehicle and speeding away. No injuries were reported.
