Rochester (and SE Minnesota) Summer Events Guide for 2026

Since this weekend is the unofficial kickoff to summer with Memorial Day, it's time to get our annual Summer Events Guide out. Summer is so short in Minnesota so we have to take full advantage of it. Plus, we've got some really awesome events that happen throughout the summer in Rochester and elsewhere in Southeast Minnesota.

This list is mostly comprised of annual festivals and recurring events. I did not, however, include county fairs. We'd be here all day if I went through all of the county fairs happening in the area!

There are plenty of other events that will happen throughout the summer. If there's one that you think needs to definitely be added, let me know.

Of course, always keep your eyes out for other events too. You may already know that one of my pet peeves about some people in Rochester are the people who complain there's nothing to do. Um, there's actually quite a bit to do! You just might have to do a little looking, it's not just going to fall into your lap every time.

Summer Events in Rochester and Throughout SE Minnesota

I will definitely see you out at some of these, especially Thursdays Downtown. That's one of those events that my husband and I just love to hit up a couple of times each summer.
