The State Patrol says 82-year-old Rosemary Lundquist was operating a Toyota Camry that was traveling west on Hwy. 23 in east-central Minnesota’s Pine County when her vehicle left the westbound lane and entered the eastbound lane of the two-lane highway. The Camry then collided head-on with an eastbound semi-truck shortly before 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Lundquist was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver, identified as 64-year-old Bruce Clark of Brooklyn Park, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash report indicates both Lundquist and Clark were buckled up and that alcohol use was not involved in the deadly crash. Troopers say the road was dry at the time of the fatal head-on collision.
