
St. Charles Woman Jailed in Juvenile Sexual Assault Case
Update: St. Charles Woman Charged for Sex Assault of Eyota Teen Girl
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office today reported the arrest of a St. Charles woman in connection with a sexual assault investigation.
Few details have been released, but a statement issued by Sheriff's Office Captain Tim Parkin says the arrest was made as part of an active investigation involving a report from a juvenile girl concerning an alleged sexual assault. As a result of the investigation, 42-year-old Megan Cogswell was taken into custody.
Olmsted County Sheriff Confirms Arrest in Assault Case
Captain Parkin says her arrest followed an interview with a Sheriff's Office investigator and was based on evidence gathered during the course of the investigation. That evidence has been referred to the Olmsted County Attorney's Office for consideration of formal charges.
Few Details Released Due to Juvenile Involvement
The website for the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center indicates Cogswell is being held on suspicion of first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving fear of great bodily harm.
