Immediate Help Needed for Dog in Minnesota That Sustained Horrific Injuries
Imagine coming up to a dog, in a rural area, that you know is in pain. You don't just hear the pain but you can physically see the horrific injury that he has endured. That is what happened recently to some individuals who rescued a dog named Hopper.
Hopper is now at Paws and Claws Humane Society in Rochester, Minnesota and this is his story:
Warning! Graphic!
This is Hopper. Hopper came from a valued partner with what looks like a de-gloving injury. He is from a rural area, so perhaps it is from a trap. Honestly, how he got the injury doesn’t matter. How we can help Hopper does. Our rescue partner was not in the position or place to get Hopper his needed surgery. They were, however, in the right place to get him to safety and get him help. There was no way we could say no, and Hopper is here for the help he needs and deserves. He will lose his leg but not his life. Hopper has a full belly. Vaccines on board. A soft, safe place to land.
Latest Report About Hopper Include Additional Heartbreaking Injuries
A few hours later, Paws and Claws Humane Society let their supports know that Hopper's injuries were even more horrific than what they originally thought:
Things are a bit more complicated with Hopper. They are also heartbreaking. Hopper was shot and his femur was shattered in addition to the degloving of his foot. He will be undergoing surgery shortly.

Emergency Fund For This Nonprofit Has Taken a Hit and Help is Needed
Hopper is getting help today thanks to the Emergency Fund that helps cover costs like this for animals that are in need.
This fund exists to provide medical care for life threatening conditions that may arise in any of our shelter animals, making it possible for us to save an animal’s life and to relieve pain and suffering. - GiveMN.org
According to Paws and Claws Humane Society, this fund has taken a hit and they could use your support to ensure that they can continue to say "yes" when a dog or cat needs extra care.
