Shocking Number of People That Packed Thursdays Downtown in Rochester, MN This Year!

There are three signs that summer is officially over in Minnesota:

1. The Minnesota State Fair starts (if you've never gone, check out these great tips!)
2. Knights and turkey legs can be found in abundance at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival
3. Back-to-school photos flood the internet

In Southeast Minnesota specifically, the end of Thursdays Downtown is also a huge sign that fall is just around the corner.  I just got an update from the crew that puts on this awesome party each week, and you'll NEVER guess how many people showed up at Thursdays Downtown this year!

How Many People Attended Thursdays Downtown in Rochester, Minnesota This Year?

I've said this on my radio show and I'll say it again, I LOVE Thursdays Downtown.  The live music, the vendors that show up with their amazing food and creations...this weekly party always puts a smile on my face.

According to the latest e-mail I just saw from the Rochester Downtown Alliance, it appears that I wasn't the only person who showed up this year.  Here are a few stats from Thursdays Downtown in 2025:

67.8% of the people who visited Thursdays Downtown were from Rochester

32.2% of the visits were from individuals outside of Rochester

Over 8 weeks, there was a total of 71,700 attendees at Thursdays Downtown

I won't speak for all 71,000+ of us, but I will say that I am extremely excited to see what Thursdays Downtown looks like in 2026!
