Target Field Has Some of the Cheapest Food in the Major Leagues

The Minnesota Twins already unveiled two ways to cut costs at Target Field this season, and now comes word that their home ballpark is one of the most affordable in the major leagues when it comes to concession prices.

If you're a fan of the Minnesota Twins, you know that the 2025 season was a rough one. When the wins didn't pile up on the field during the first half of the season, the result was the Twins front office putting on a fire sale that saw nearly 40 percent of their starting roster traded away.

Things got so bad last year that the Twins drew the lowest season attendance in Target Field history, with the fewest number of fans on hand since the stadium opened back in 2010. And so far in 2026, fan attendance has been slightly below the 2025 level, the website Baseball-Reference reports.

Twins Try to Bring Fans Back to Target Field

But the Twins have played better than many expected they would so far this year. As of Monday, August 10th, their record is 57 and 66 (.492), and the club is just a game-and-a-half out of being in line for a Wild Card bid to the playoffs.

And, as I wrote about back in February, the team announced some unique promotions-- like $2 beer on Fridays and Saturdays, along with free ice cream on Sundays-- to lure fans back to Target Field this year. But now a new survey says that some of their regular concession prices are some of the lowest in Major League Baseball.

How Much Do Beer and Hot Dogs Cost at Target Field?

A beer and a hot dog might be one of baseball's most iconic pairings, but depending on which stadium you're sitting in, that classic combo could cost anywhere from $8 to $24. Fortunately, for Minnesota fans, the prices at Target Field are closer to $8 than $24.

That's the word from a new survey, anyway. To find out how much gameday food and drink is costing fans, Bovada Sportsbook looked at concession prices at all 30 MLB ballparks, revealing which teams are charging fans the most for a beer and a hot dog, and which offer the best value.

Target Field Ranks Among MLB's Cheapest Ballparks

As it turns out, Target Field is ranked 4th in the Majors, where the average cost of a beer is $4.10, while the average cost of a hot dog is $4.99. That puts the Twins' home ballpark at a total of $9.09, which is the fourth-cheapest in MLB. In fact, only the Marlins' loanDepot Ballpark, the Diamondbacks' Chase Field, and the Tigers' Comerica Park have cheaper beer and hot dog prices.

Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles takes the top spot as the most expensive ballpark for game-day snacks, with a beer and a hot dog together costing fans $24.00. Here, a beer alone will set fans back $16.00, while a hot dog costs $8.00, by far the priciest combo in the league, the Bovada Sportsbook survey said.
