Friday night we posted all of the updates from the developing Adrian Peterson child abuse story and we received a ton of feedback.  I was shocked by the number of Vikings fans who blindly supported AP.   I'm going to leave names out of this story because I'm hoping  these reactions were knee-jerk -  I can't believe anyone thinks it's OK to whip a 4 year old child.

Here's are some of the posts to our facebook wall -

*  WHAT A BUNCH OF BS! We are talking about AP! one of the nicest guys in the world

* Its total bs. He did something that more people should do. He disciplined his child. I for one dont think its as bad as they are saying they are just busting him because of who he is.

*For spanking ?? Seriously? It's getting ridiculous that parent can't discipline their children now days and ppl wonder y kids are becoming so disrespectful ;(

* People's definition of abuse varies. This is a touchy subject because of that. But at some point we need to look at some of the kids growing up right now. Not enough parents discipline their children and then complain they dint listen and lack respect. Where can the line on abuse be drawn? I want to know what the kid did before this happened?

* In other words..he disciplined his son ? I've seen "abuse" photos before...And these are far from it...Looks more like he got a good whooping for doing wrong...

To be fair a lot of people condemned his actions but an alarming amount came to his defense. Football is a powerful drug that a lot of us are addicted to. It's scary when it clouds a person's morals.
