Minnesota Once Again Named One of the Best States to Live
Minnesota has done it again! We're, once again, one of the best states to live in. Even though more people are moving from than to Minnesota, we're still a great place to be.
I've always loved Minnesota. Aside from our way-too-long winters, of course. But I think Minnesotans are great people, our community is strong, and the outdoors here are unmatched.

There have been so many times that we've been ranked as one of the top states, and it's happened again with WalletHub.
Minnesota Named One of the Best States to Live In for 2025
So how did Minnesota make it so high on the list yet again?

Well, to determine the rankings, WalletHub had 51 key metrics they looked at. Some of them include:
Housing Costs
Income Growth
Education Rate
Quality of Hospitals
Safety
and the State's Economy
Minnesota landed in the top 5, which is amazing, but we aren't the only Midwest state to make that cut.
Let's take a peek at the top 10 and see what we think.
10. Pennsylvania
9. New York
8. Utah
7. New Hampshire
6. Florida
5. Minnesota
4. Wisconsin
3. New Jersey
2. Idaho
1. Massachusetts
I'll be honest, I'm a little surprised Florida made the top 10. You just hear so many crazy stories from there, and I can't imagine it's cheap to live there. They did rank 32 out of 50 for affordability, though, so that makes sense.
And Wisconsin came in as the 4th best place to live.
But Minnesota, coming in at number 5, heck yeah!
Our best ranking was in the Education and Health Rank, where we came in as the 5th best state.
We also have the 3rd lowest percentage of people living in poverty and the 5th highest percentage of people who have insurance.
The states on the opposite end of the spectrum include:
46. Alaska
47. Mississippi
48. Arkansas
49. Louisiana
50. New Mexico
