Were you a part of history this year?

The Minnesota State Fair is always a huge draw every year. The food, the grandstand entertainment, and the people watching are always the best aspects of the Great Minnesota Get-Together.

But according to GO MN, the fair set three daily attendance records, including a crowd of more than 242,000 over the weekend on Sunday.

Not only that, but just a couple days earlier the second Friday record with 187,000 visitors. Attendance on the first Monday set a record this year, too.

No doubt the cooler temperatures had something to do with it, but chances are the 2017 edition of the fair has a good chance of setting an entirely new record for the whole 12-day run.

We'll find out the exact numbers on Tuesday as the Fair plans to release the final attendance numbers then. But should the numbers fall where projections are heading, then that would mean it would be back-to-back years in which attendance sets a new record. That's impressive!
