Minnesota Teenager Killed in Early Morning Wrong-Way Crash
Jordan, MN (KROC-AM News) - A teenager was killed in a wrong-way-head-on crash early Sunday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol reports an SUV was traveling north in the southbound lane on Highway 169 when it collided head-on with another SUV traveling south in the same lane southwest of Jordan around 3:15 a.m.
A 19-year-old female passenger from Hutchinson in the southbound SUV was killed in the crash. Her identity has not been released.
Two others in the same vehicle were injured. The driver was identified as 20-year-old Cassidy Martin of Gaylord and the second passenger was identified as 20-year-old Alyssa Grutt of Hutchinson. They were both transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the SUV traveling north in the southbound lane was identified as 34-year-old Michael Morse of Chaska. He was not injured but was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Shakopee.
