Minnesota Zoo Introduces New Program for Low Income Families!
A program that began last year brought thousands of new visitors to the zoo. It's been revamped for the 2017 season, and will make it much more affordable for low income families.
The program is called Free to Explore Program, and YES it's free!
"The new effort admits people for free providing they can prove that they get public assistance by showing an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, a Head Start acceptance letter, a Minnesota Health Care Programs card, or documentation from the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program. They also need ID and proof of Minnesota residency." - Star Tribune.
DJ's reenact a viral video. The video was of a small boy and a lion looking at each other through the glass at a zoo in Japan. As the boy turns his back on the enclosure, the lion pounces at him. Of course, the lion crashes against the thick glass and catastrophe is avoided.
