Minnesota’s Best College Party Town is… Rochester?
Yep, probably not what you were expecting!
The Bureau of Labor Statistics and the United States Census Bureau did a survey to determine the best college town in each state. The survey looked at cost of living, student employment, city access, and the party scene/nightlife. Rochester actually won the title of the best college town in Minnesota!
At this point you're probably thinking "Wait a second, what about the U of M Twin Cities?" Well, the survey didn't count any towns larger than 250,000 people as college towns soooo they were out of the running from the beginning.
Now the part that I find the most interesting is that the only category that Rochester ranked in the top 10 was in the party/nightlife category, hence the reason Rochester is not only the best overall college town but it's also the best college PARTY town!
