Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A mobile home is a complete loss after a fire in southeast Rochester Friday afternoon.

The Rochester Fire Department arrived at Oak Terrace Moblie Home Park off of Marion Road just before 4:30 p.m. to one of the homes on fire. Crews found the single-family mobile home with a large volume of fire and black smoke.

Initial reports from bystanders said there was a woman trapped inside the home, but crews searched and did not find anyone. RFD said firefighters’ used an aggressive fire attack within minutes of arrival on the scene, and the main body of the fire was suppressed within 4-5 minutes.

One occupant of the home, who escaped before RFD arrived, was taken to St. Marys Hospital with minor smoke inhalation.

Officials said the mobile home and a vehicle were a complete loss and a neighboring mobile home had minor fire and smoke damage. The estimated cost of damage is $75,000.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the incident.
