New Restaurant Opening in Downtown Rochester

Mexican food was served in this location for more than 20 years, but now it has a whole new vibe, AND it's opening soon!

From the owners of ZZest, another awesome restaurant is coming our way.

Porch and Cellar will occupy the old train station building on 4th street. The renovation is coming along nicely and looks gorgeous.

According to one of the co-owners Jason Zubay, the restaurant will be open to the public December 5th. Cellar will open early next year.

What is Cellar?

"Think dark, cozy, secretive, with crafty cocktails. The bar will span the space and include great beers and an official wine cellar, (hopefully). Here, Jason and Chef Schoville will shine. Small plates reminiscent of ZZest and cocktails to rival ZZest." This according to Porch and Cellar's website. 

Zubay says this is what people can expect when they visit Porch and Cellar:

"The ambience will be a cleaned up historic train depot, acting as a casual environment for really dang good food -- comfort foods . Fried chicken, smoked brisket, sausages w/ healthy side options . Large scale, 'family style', although friendly to small groups too, of course!"
