You know the saying 'don't shoot the messenger', that applies here! NOAA has updated their winter weather prediction for the country and Minnesota's forecast... doesn't look super awesome. I'm just relaying the information, ok!

Farmer's Almanac's Original Winter Prediction

Before we get to the bad news, let's go back and see what was originally predicted for this winter. The Farmer's Almanac said that we'd be experiencing brutal cold and lots of snow. We posted about that at the beginning of September.

NOAA's Original Winter Prediction

NOAA's original prediction said something different that the Farmer's Almanac. NOAA said that Minnesota would be a little below average temperature-wise and we'd have an average amount of snow.

NOAA's Latest Updated Winter Prediction (November 30th, 2022)

The most recent prediction from NOAA, though, does affect us a little. They say that this update is valid just for December and I say it's worse than the first prediction. That's because they're now predicting less snow and even lower temps. If it's going to be cold we may as well have the pretty snow to look at too! But nooo...

So I'd say that this is not the kind of winter I want. Somehow it got worse than we thought. We'll see if the prediction actually pans out though! Watch us end up getting snow dumped on us this month.
