One of the Smells of Your Childhood has now been Trademarked
One of the cool things about being a parent is that you get to relive some of your favorite childhood memories. Including experiences, toys and smells - yes, smells.
Think back to being a kid and you'll remember some of your favorite things had very recognizable odors. Things like crayola crayons, matchbox cars and playdoh.
Hasbro has just trademarked the scent of Play-Doh. The smell is described as a "sweet, slightly musky, vanilla-like fragrance, with slight overtones of cherry, and the natural smell of a salted, wheat-based dough." -- You'd definitely recognize the smell even after all these years.
It's not clear what Hasbro plans to do with the scent. They told Gizmodo, "Registering the iconic Play-Doh scent as a trademark gives Hasbro a whole host of fun and creative opportunities in the future, but in the present moment, plans are not currently set."
