One Woman Dead After Being Ejected From Vehicle In I-35 Crash
Chisago County, MN (KROC AM News) - One woman is dead and another is injured after both the driver and the passenger were ejected from the vehicle while traveling on I-35 just north of Stacy, Minnesota Saturday afternoon.
The Minnesota State Patrol says Iman Abdullah, 24, of Superior, Wisconsin was driving a Chevy Tahoe southbound on I-35 when the vehicle started drifting to the left, Abdullah over-corrected and went off into the right ditch and rolled, ejecting driver and passenger. Abdullah was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The passenger, 21-year-old Janae Lowe-Banks of St. Paul, was transported to Regions hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Neither Abdullah or Lowe-Banks were wearing seat belts in the crash.
