Over 100,000 People Will Flock To See This Minnesota Park Light Up for Christmas
I can't even begin to explain how excited my kids get when we pull into Sibley Park in Mankato for the Kiwanis Holiday Light display. The park is decorated with over 1.5 million LED lights, there are several themed areas including a Minions and Mickey and Minnie Mouse display, live reindeer, and Santa is there to meet your kids!
Organizers say over 165,000 people attended the free event last year. Visitors have the option of driving or walking through the exhibit. I highly recommend walking. We drove one year and had to wait in a line of cars for 45 minutes and it only took about 10 minutes to complete the drive. The last couple of years we walked and had a lot more fun. TIP: Get there about a half an hour before it opens and you'll be able to park right in front and you'll be one of the first in line to meet Santa.
