"Minnesota Nice" is one of the best things about living in our state. Whether it's a pro- athlete stopping to help a stranded motorist or someone simply shoveling for a neighbor the kindness displayed throughout our state is amazing.

Mike LaVigne, interim Chief of Police in Plainview, is going above and beyond to help a family that just moved into his community. LaVigne says they have nothing, "They are sleeping on the floor and have no food" and their vehicle was just totaled in a crash.

The family has a two-year old child and are desperate need. LaVigne says his office is going to buy them some groceries, but they would love some help from the community on other items like a couch and a bed.If you are able to help you can contact the Plainview Police Department directly through Facebook.
