Rushford, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Lanesboro woman was airlifted from the site of a traffic crash just west of Rushford this morning.

The State Patrol says 40-year-old Amy Steinfeldt suffered potentially serious injuries when the pickup she was driving west on Highway 16 experienced a mechanical issue just before 11 AM. The problem pulled the pickup toward the shoulder and caused Steinfeldt to lose control, which sent the vehicle back over the center line on the highway and into the path of an eastbound passenger car.

While the State Patrol described her injuries as potentially serious, the crash report also indicates Steinfeldt was transported from the scene with non-life-threatening injuries. The other driver, 64-year-old Doug Baker of Lanesboro, was brought to the Winona hospital, also with non-life-threatening injuries.
