Negative news has been overwhelming at times over the last six weeks, but good news still exists, and I'm happy to have the platform to share each positive story with you. I am proud to call Rochester home and proud of the work that we all are doing to help each other through these difficult times.

The most recent example of positivity comes from Sterling State Bank. They are going to give one local restaurant a huge boost while providing a free lunch, and hopefully a much needed smile, to 1,300 healthcare workers in our community.

A press release explains, "Beginning today and continuing daily through Thursday, April 16th, Sterling State Bank is ordering pizza for every single OMC employee across all 20 of their locations. Mr. Pizza is filling these orders and handling the logistics of delivering free pizza to OMC’s emergency room, hospitals and clinics."

Sterling State Bank President Justin McNeilus  said, "We cannot be more grateful for the sacrifices our health care workers are making on our behalf. The medical professionals in our community have been working overtime during this pandemic. They deserve all of the thanks in the world for what they do. This is a small gesture, but it is a way for us to say Thank You for everything they are doing!  I also want thank Mr. Pizza.  They are such a fixture in Rochester and have been a wonderful customer and community partner of ours for years. We want to make sure they are here for many more years to come.”
