Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man, described by police as a significant drug dealer, has been sentenced to 12-years in prison. 44-year-old Terrance Burkhalter earlier pleaded guilty to a first-degree drug sale charge and a felony count for illegal possession of a firearm through a plea agreement that led to the dismissal of an aggravated drug sale charge.

The charges against Burkhalter stemmed from a raid on his home in the 500 block of 36th Street Southwest resulted in the seizure of 19 pounds of marijuana, a pound of cocaine, 2 ounces of heroin, and 400 doses of Oxycodone. When the raid was first reported in late April, a police department official said investigators believed some of the drugs were supplied by a Mexican cartel.
