Rochester Has Several Outdoor Ice Rinks for Winter Fun
When Mother Nature cooperates, and temps aren't crazy cold, it's nice to get outside and burn off some energy. Did you know the city of Rochester's Park and Rec Department maintains several outdoor hockey and skating rinks that are open to the public?
They're available for you to enjoy with friends and family and are located throughout town. Find out where they are, the hours of operation, and where to go to rent skates below.
Skating is a fun way to stay active during the winter and burn calories. Avera Health says you burn between 500-700 calories per hour while skating.
Rochester's skating rinks are located around the city and are now open. The City's Park and Rec Department says they typically stay open through late February and most have warming houses and lights.
