Rochester Chocolate Crawl: The Best Spots for Your Valentine’s Chocolate Craving
Chocolate lovers, it's our time of year. Valentine's Day is the perfect excuse to treat yourself to some incredible chocolates (and chocolate desserts) and boy, do we have some amazing places around Rochester, Minnesota for just that.
Yes, there are plenty of stores carrying some great boxes of chocolates and all of that good stuff... OR you could go on your own little chocolate crawl and explore some amazing local chocolates and chocolate desserts instead!
Let's get right into the Rochester Chocolate Crawl!

Rochester, MN Chocolate Crawl
Stop #1: Northwoods Candy Emporium
Northwoods Candy Emporium in the Apache Mall will be your first stop. Browse their big selection and pick some of your favorites. You have to eat at least some of what you bought (that's kind of the point of a chocolate crawl) but make sure to pace yourself, we have a lot of stops.

Stop #2: Mezza9 Cafe
Next, park somewhere downtown because you'll be here for a few stops. Stop number 2 is Mezza9 Cafe. You won't find your traditional chocolate candies here but you know what you will find? Some amazing chocolate desserts, like their molten chocolate cake. Grab a drink, too, and hang out for a bit!
Stop #3: Popus Popcorn
Walk down the street to Popus Popcorn and get your hands on some of their chocolate popcorn flavors. Yum! Again, remember to pace yourself, you can save part of the bag for later.
Stop #4: Chocolaterie Stam
Head up to the skyway and make a stop at Chocolaterie Stam. This is one of my personal favorites with so many incredible chocolates to choose from. Maybe pick something you wouldn't normally go for to try something new!
Stop #5: The Chocolate Oasis
Continuing our trek downtown, head down to the Subway level and go to The Chocolate Oasis in the Gonda building. Even more chocolates to ooh, ahh, and drool over.
Stop #6: Caroll's Corn
Taking a break from the regular chocolates, continue in the Subway to Caroll's Corn and check out their limited edition, Valentine's special chocolate-covered kettle corn. Yum!
Stop #7: Crumbl Cookie
It's time to hop back in your car because we're going to Crumbl Cookie! Crumbl has plenty of other flavor options but they do have chocolate flavors if you'd like to continue sticking to our chocolate crawl theme.
Stop #8: Chocolate Shoppe
Our last stop does technically take us out of Rochester but it's a can't-miss spot. Chocolate Shoppe in Mantorville has some delicious chocolates made in-house in small batches, so this is the perfect last stop to get any chocolates you were wishing you grabbed at some of the other shops.
