Rochester Student a Finalist for 2017 NFL PLAY 60 Contest!
This is pretty cool, and with your help we could be sending her to Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis!
If you're an avid NFL fan like me, then no doubt you've seen the NFL PLAY 60 commercials during pregame or even a commercial time out while watching your favorite team on Sunday.
Here's one of my favorites to help job your memory:
I can't believe that spot is five years old already, and it still makes me laugh!
Anyways, the NFL has shown their commitment to getting kids active and healthy through NFL PLAY 60 for 10 years now, which is the league's youth health and wellness campaign that encourage kids to get active for 60 minutes each day - hence the name "PLAY 60".
However this year, the NFL called for these same fans to show off their favorite celebration dances, in addition to sharing their commitment to getting active for a chance to represent NFL PLAY 60 at this years Super Bowl!
Incredibly enough, one of three finalists hails from right here in Rochester: Manasa!
Manasa is a 7th grade student at Friedell Middle School. If voted the winner, she will receive tickets to the big game, along with having the honor of presenting the game ball to an NFL official on the field at U.S. Bank stadium on February 4!
Voting has already begun, and will continue through Tuesday, December 5.
Please share to help spread the word, and let's get her to U.S. Bank Stadium!
