Rochester Theater Offers Screening of ‘Purple Rain’ to Mark 1st Anniversary of Prince’s Death
On April 21st, 2016 Prince, the rock icon, died. Since then there have been many tributes. Landmarks all around the world lit up in the color purple, People sold bottles of 'purple rain' on Ebay, A Minnesota family created a Prince inspired Christmas display, and theaters around the country held special screenings of the movie "Purple Rain".
Prince fans can catch a special screening of Purple Rain tonight in Rochester. The 1984 semi-autobiographical film was Prince’s big screen debut. The film grossed more than $68-million at the box office. Fans can see a special screening tonight at the Hollywood 12 at midnight.
