Rochester Business Collecting Donations to Help Local Moms in Need
It's an unfortunate truth that many people in our area need help and we don't know it. Organizations all around southeast Minnesota see many people come through their doors every day looking for help.
One of those organizations is the Rochester Women's Shelter.
More About the Rochester Women's Shelter
Rochester Women's Shelter helps victims of domestic violence. They're actually the only shelter of this kind in southeast Minnesota.
They serve about 3,000 victims every year and have housed between 400 and 500 people in the area. The average length of stay at the Rochester Women's Shelter is 33 days but the time varies depending on the person and their situation.

This means that they need help from people like us to be able to serve all of these women.
What You Can Donate to the Rochester Women's Shelter
They need items like new towels, new bedding, toiletries, cleaning supplies, paper products, and much more.
Heads up, they do not take used clothing, furniture, large appliances, or TVs.
Of course, they also take monetary donations, but there's one particular Rochester business that is doing a drive to help Rochester Women's Shelter.

After collecting the donations, they take those items to the Rochester Women's Shelter around Mother's Day.
