Dr. Elvis Francois and Dr. William Robinson from Rochester's Mayo Clinic will be on national TV Sunday at 1:00 PM during the "Indy 500 Special: Back Home Again" on NBC. The musical doctors recorded a version of “God Bless America” as a tribute to front-line workers. During the Indy special on Sunday, COVID-19 survivors will be encouraged to donate plasma which can be used to treat people that are currently battling the virus and create medicines.

Dr. Elvis told NBC Sports, “Seeing so many of my colleagues and front-line workers across the country come together in the midst of such challenging times has been inspiring. This performance is dedicated to everyone who keeps showing up in the fight against COVID-19." Robinson added, “Our performance is very much about hope. It’s important to remember that we’re all in this together and we’re all working tirelessly toward the same goal.”

The special program, airing at 2 p.m. EDT on NBC, will take the place of the Indianapolis 500 which is traditionally held over Memorial Day weekend but has been postponed until August.
