I think my man card may be coming up for renewal...

So, just in time to help your holiday shopping, GQ has put together a list of the ten gifts no man wants for Christmas. There are some things on this list I can see, like what am I gonna do with Whiskey Stones? Apparently they keep your whiskey chilled. I'm a beer and/or wine cooler guy. I know what you're thinking. I could probably use the stones in more ways than one.

There are some other things on the list that I think would be kinda cool, though. Okay, maybe they're birthday stuff. But Christmas is kinda like a birthday...maybe not mine...

On the list is a wallet. What's wrong with a wallet for Christmas? That's personal. Sort of. It says, "Hey I notice you've worn your wallet out. It's fallin' apart. Here. Wear this one out. You'll get another one in about ten...twenty years."

Another item on the list is a DVD Box Set. Okay, I can see with Netflix, Hulu and Amazon streaming that a DVD Box Set might not be a mature gift for a dude for Christmas. But, hey, the Adam West Batman: Season Three DVD Box Set is right near the top of my list...I'm sorry, is my geek showing again?

Gift Certificates to Restaurants. I love those! The best Christmas gifts I ever got were gift cards to Kwik Trip and Whistle Binkies! I'd put those right in my new wallet!

Cologne? Pajama Pants? Hello?

Okay the guy that put together the list says that guys these days are "more cultured, better dressed and more style-conscious." The more enlightened, modern man is not looking for a generic, impersonal gift that can be grabbed off any department store shelf. Christmas Eve. Just before store closing. I'll agree that every guy wants something that took some effort and says you know what he likes.

So, what's on your Wish List? And don't say "World peace", 'cos I got that.
