As you know there was another mass shooting yesterday.  Fourteen people were killed during an attack at a holiday party in San Bernardino, California. It was the deadliest mass shooting in America since the one at Sandy Hook Elementary School in December 2012.

The attack started around 11:00 A.M. in a conference center at the Inland Regional Center.  A room had been rented out for a party by county health officials.  There were two killers:  Syed Farook, a 28-year-old environmental health inspector and his wife or girlfriend, Tashfeen Malik, who's 27.

Farook is a U.S. citizen and had been an inspector in the county for the last five years. There are reports that he was a devout Muslim and had recently visited Saudi Arabia. Which is leading to a lot of speculation.  As of now we don't know their motive.

Farook left the holiday party after getting upset about something. (It's not clear what angered him.)  He came back with Malik dressed in full tactical gear with assault rifles and semi-automatic handguns - went inside and opened fire.

The immediate investigation quickly led Police to Farook's house in the town of Redlands which is approximately 10 miles away from the crime scene.  The SUV police were searching for showed up while they were there. The attackers then took off and were chased by police.

The pursuit ended a few minutes later. Both were killed by police. A third person who was caught running near the scene was detained, but police aren't sure whether he is connected to the shooting.

More information will be released as the investigation continues.
