The Number 1 Complaint We Hear About Minnesota Drivers
Anytime it's foggy, raining, or snowing our phones light up here at the radio station with people asking us to remind drivers to turn their headlights on. Seems like common sense but many drivers fail to do it. The Olmsted County Sheriff's Department recently took to Facebook to remind people too. They say your lights need to be on:
- (1) at any time from sunset to sunrise.
- (2) at any time when it is raining, snowing, sleeting, or hailing.
- (3) at any other time when visibility is impaired by weather, smoke, fog or other conditions or there is not sufficient light.
Failing to have your headlights on could result in a ticket or something far more tragic. Read the complete statute here: https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/cite/169.48
