‘This is Us’ Star is Working on a Minnesota-Based TV Show
'This is Us' fans are all sad because the popular show will be coming to an end this May. However, one of the show's stars, Milo Ventimiglia (Jack Pearson in 'This is Us') is going to continue to work with NBC, just not in front of the camera. Milo is going to be working on producing a Minnesota-based TV show.
The news just came out a few days ago that this project was going to be worked on with NBC. The Hollywood Reporter says that the show is called 'Hometown Saints'. Honestly, I see a name like that and automatically think it's going to be about baseball (which I wouldn't be mad about) but it's not. It is a movie about a popular Minnesota sport, though: hockey.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, 'Hometown Saints' follows a retired hockey player named Billy Riedell who moves back to his hometown in Minnesota. He's having a hard time figuring out who he is now that his hockey career is over. Then, he "reluctantly" starts coaching the girls' high school hockey team for his hometown.
I haven't seen anything about which Minnesota town they'll have Billy be from, so we'll have to wait and see! Milo is going to be an executive producer of the show along with Russ Cundiff. I also hope they actually come to Minnesota to film instead of replicating it in California, that'd be way cooler.
