Tornado Watch Remains in Effect Until 11 p.m.
A tornado watch remains in effect for the entire 106.9 KROC listening area until 11 p.m. Wednesday night.
The National Weather Service explains that you should be prepared during a tornado watch. A Tornado Watch means tornadoes are possible in and near the watch area. The NWS recommends reviewing and discussing your emergency plans and checking supplies in your safe room. The agency says you need to "Be ready to act quickly if a warning is issued or you suspect a tornado is approaching. Acting early helps to save lives!"
This tornado watch covers 7 counties in Southeast Minnesota and 5 in northern Iowa.
