Welcome to Spooky Season! Costume shops are open and busy, the Minnesota Zoo has announced details on their annual Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular, the Mall of America has teamed up with Twin Cities Fear Fest, and haunted houses across the state will be opening soon.
Minnesota's most popular Halloween attraction? That would be ValleyScare. It is the largest Halloween attraction in the upper Midwest and it will be open on Friday and Saturday nights from September 19 through October 31.

ValleyScare Returns to Valleyfair: What’s New for the 2026 Season
If you have little ones, the park keeps things light and festive during the day with 'Tricks and Treats,' Valleyfair's family-friendly daytime celebration. This is designed for families who want to soak in the fall vibes without the fear.
The daytime activities include trick-or-treating, seasonal eats, and kids' entertainment and is open Saturdays (12:00–5:00 p.m.) and Sundays (11:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.) from September 26 through November 1.
