Vote on Food Truck Ordinance Expected May 2nd
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News ) - The Rochester City Council held another public hearing Monday night on a proposed final version of its food truck ordinance.
After considerable discussion, consensus was reached on some remaining issues but no vote was taken. The proposed ordinance will be taken up again at the Council’s May 2nd meeting, when a vote is expected.
Among the issues that were discussed last night were zones in the downtown where the trucks could operate, as well as their hours of operation.
Also discussed was the cost of a city permit. The Council is considering a $1500 fee for an annual permit.
