Police are warning the public about a new prank involving Siri. However, it's anything but funny.

According to CNET, an online prank is going around telling people to say “Hey Siri 108” into their iPhone, and it's giving those pranksters severe consequences with local law enforcement.

So, how does this work? Well basically, when someone tells Siri ‘108’, she will automatically initiate the 5-sec emergency call because 108 is the equivalent 9-1-1 emergency call line in India. This means that no matter where you’re from, if you tell Siri 108, it will automatically dial the local emergency number thinking you're in some real trouble.

That's because Apple made it easy for people to call emergency services from anywhere in the world, a necessary feature until it's abused like it is here.
