Winona Man Wins The Lottery Again
What’s better than winning a big lottery prize? Winona resident Richard Orlikowski knows that the answer is: winning a second big lottery prize!
The two-time winner won $100,000 three years ago and was back at the Lottery’s headquarters in Roseville this morning to claim a $50,000 Big Money prize.
His second win comes almost three years to-the-day after the first. Orlikowski claimed a $100,000 Minnesota Gold 5X prize on June 11, 2013. “I’d like to come back again!” he said. “I’d like to win the Gopher 5 or Powerball next time,” he added with a smile.
Winning a second time was just as exciting as the first, said Orlikowski. When he uncovered his most recent win, “My eyes welled up and I said, ‘This can’t be true,’” he recalled.
Orlikowski purchased the winning ticket at Midtown Foods, located at 126 E. 5th St. in Winona.
