The New York Post decided to find out what some of the most popular apartments and houses on TV would rent or sell for in real life and found that most of us wouldn't be able to afford them.

The average rent in the neighborhood where 'Friends' was set is around $4,000 a month. However, former interior designer Iñaki Aliste Lizarralde said the apartment would be considered much better than others in that neighborhood and would carry a higher price tag - $4,500 to $5,000 a month.

Check out the real estate price tags from other classic shows:

  • Jerry Seinfeld's NYC apartment in "Seinfeld — $3,400/month
  • Carrie Bradshaw's NYC apartment in "Sex & The City" — $2,700/month
  • Sheldon and Leonard's California apartment in "Big Bang Theory" — $2,000/month
  • Apartment in "How I Met Your Mother" — $3,000/month
  • Will and Grace's NYC apartment in "Will & Grace" — $6,750/month
  • Lorelai Gilmore's home in "Gilmore Girls" — $500,000
  • The Simpsons' home in "The Simpsons" — $375,000
  • The house in San Francisco that was used for the exterior shots on "Full House" and "Fuller House" is actually for rent - $13,950 a month.
