The Songs of the Summer

Labor day has come and gone, school is back in session, so is football, and that means summer is officially over. Here at KROC we love to guess what we think the song of the summer is going to be, and this year the crown goes to Troy Dunken. Check out the list here. 

My guess was the chart topping queen, Taylor Swift with "Bad Blood."

Scotty thought "I Can't Feel My Face" by the Weeknd (which ended up being a much better guess than mine..."

And, the winner, Troy Dunken, guessed Omi "Cheerleader."

Billboard calculates the top songs based on chart performance from Memorial Day through Labor Day.  Here's the top five:

5. "Watch Me" by Silento

4. "Can't Feel My Face" by The Weeknd

3. "Bad Blood" by Taylor Swift

2. "See You Again" by Wiz Khalifa

#1. "Cheerleader" by OMI

Meanwhile, "Watch Me" was the most streamed song on YouTube this year, and on Google Play, "See You Again" was #1.

Last year, "Fancy" by Iggy Azalea was Billboard's Song of the Summer.
