On Saturday, October 13th employees at the Animal Humane Society (AHS) left for Alabama to pick up 85 dogs that were affected by Hurricane Michael.

The hurricane hit Save-A-Pet, which is a partner shelter to AHS in Dothan, AL. Save-A-Pet was damaged and it left these 85 dogs without a safe place to stay which is why AHS stepped in to help.

The staff and 85 dogs arrived in Minnesota Tuesday morning. According to AHS's website, "Pending medical and behavioral exams, they will soon be looking for new homes in Minnesota."

WCCO posted a few pictures on their Facebook page of when the dogs arrived:

If you are considering adopting a dog, make sure to check out these dogs once they are ready and available for adoption!
