Budget airline Allegiant, based out of Las Vegas, is going to start flying out of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport this fall, 2021. This is great for those of us who want to travel but also want to travel on a budget. Allegiant will offer direct, non-stop flights to three different locations.

What is Allegiant Airlines?

Allegiant is technically based out of Summerlin, NV which is a suburb of Las Vegas. They were originally founded in 1997 as WestJet Express, according to their Wikipedia page. Allegiant is well known for their budget-friendly flights. For example, a random round-trip flight in July that I looked at between Nashville and Cedar Rapids, IA would cost you about $91 per person round-trip.

Where Will We be Able to Fly w/ Allegiant?

There will be three direct flights from MSP.

Asheville, North Carolina - Asheville Regional Airport - flights starting October 7th, 2021 - introductory one-way price: $49
Palm Beach, Florida - Palm Beach International Airport - flights starting October 7th, 2021 - introductory one-way price: $49
Punta Gorda, Florida - Punta Gorda Airport - flights starting October 8th, 2021 - introductory on-way price: $49

On top of that, there's a one-time special that Allegiant will have this November. They'll have a one-time-only round-trip flight from MSP to Los Angeles (LAX) for the Vikings vs. Los Angeles Chargers game on November 14th, according to Bring Me the News.

I checked this out on Allegiant's website. If you want to book this trip, say you're departing from MSP, traveling to LAX, and it'll prompt you to select the only two dates they have available for this trip. You'll have to fly out of MSP to LA on Friday, November 12th, and fly back Monday, November 15th. The cost is $83 one-way, so $166 round-trip per person (before any fees).
