A unique new lounge area has opened at MSP and they're having an official grand opening tomorrow, Thursday, May 28th. The lounge is called the Portal Lounge and it sounds really cool.

If you want a place to relax, have some food and maybe a drink, and... play some video games prior to your flight, this is the place for you!

Yes, the Portal Lounge has a variety of consoles to play video games while you wait for your flight. I'm seeing on Reddit, though, that when you're hanging out there, you can easily enjoy yourself at the bar or in the seating area and not be bothered by the video games going on.

The lounge is open to anyone flying any airline 3 hours prior to your flight's departure.

Robot Bartender at New MSP Lounge

At the bar, there's a robot bartender, making the modern vibes really come to life. Once you place a drink order, the robot will mix it up for you and a human bartender will finish it off by putting in in a glass and adding any finishing touches.

Like I said earlier, too, there's also food available in the lounge.

How Do You Get Into the Portal Lounge at MSP?

If you're interested in checking this place out, you do need to pay an admission fee. This gives you access to unlimited gaming along with complimentary drinks (alcoholic and NA) and food.

It's located in Terminal 1 between Concourse C and D, open 4 AM to 9 PM, and is part of the Priority Pass network. So if you're a Priority Pass member (which is $99 per year at the base level), it looks like it'll cost you $35 to get in.

You don't HAVE to have a Priority Pass to get in, though. I wasn't able to find an official source telling me how much it cost if you don't have that pass, but Google AI's search results said it costs $70. I couldn't for the life of me figure out where they got that information from, though, so take that with a grain of salt.

Also, just a heads up, they only allow a certain number of people into the lounge, so if it's busy, you may not be able to get in.
